You wouldn’t expect a flower to bloom with no care.
Why do we expect that of ourselves?
Growing through what you go through
Just like a garden, we cannot plant the seeds and expect the plants to flourish without support. Establishing positive mental health takes a tool kit, of sorts: positive coping skills, better understanding of ourselves, exploration of how our past impacts our current and future, and self-love.
Tending to your growth, healing and discovery is a part of your personal landscape and Conscious Garden Counseling is here to help in that journey.
Life is beautiful and messy.
It is not meant to simply survive. We are meant to live.
Therapy is a scary, courageous, beautiful step.
Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced therapy go-er, making the decision to pursue therapy can feel overwhelming. Remember, seeking therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness.
It is not just for those experiencing severe mental health symptoms, but also
to create meaningful change, problem-solve and reflect on what you’ve been through.
-
Our starting point: this is where you reflect on your goals and background. The more detail you provide in these documents, the better. You will also get practice policies and consents for treatment.
-
This is our introduction to each other where you get to know your therapist and your therapist gets to know you. We will answer any questions and handle all administrative things at that time as well.
-
Therapy is what you make it! Every session is unique to the client and therapeutic relationship. It will be impacted by your life experiences, your emotions and your mental health. While sessions can be heavy and tissues are always available, you can also expect to find some laughter and positivity in each session as well.
